The investor’s objective was to maximize the connection between the living room and the garden while orienting it towards the landscape view. To achieve a roof without visible rafters, a framed steel structure embedded in the perimeter brick walls was chosen.
The family house in Všestary near Prague consists of two interlocking volumes with a pitched roof. The part of the house with a wooden facade is fully open to the garden and serves as the daily living zone with a kitchen, dining area, and living room. The interior feels open, and the main rooms seamlessly flow into each other.
On the other hand, the offices offer tranquility and privacy. One is located on the ground floor with a view of the property through a corner recessed window, while the other is strategically elevated on the first floor, providing a view into the spacious living room.
