When placing the building on the site, it was necessary to take into account not only the maximisation of the view from the daytime living areas, but also its orientation in relation to the cardinal points and sunlight. These entrance conditions influenced both the layout and massing of the house.
The result is an ingenious compromise where the lower floor of the house flows gracefully into the surrounding terrain, creating a subtle but direct connection to the beautiful garden.
Natural materials, including natural stone and wood, were used in the design of this modern building, visually connecting the interior with the exterior and blending harmoniously with the surroundings of the house. The facade is contrasted by anthracite plaster, which gives the building a modern and elegant appearance.
The architectural concept emphasises the modern elements, which form a flowing gesture in the shape of a wide letter ‘S’.
Incorporated into the slope, it forms an unobtrusive design and gives the overall expression and character of the house from the arrival. In addition, the house appears visually smaller from the approach side (i.e., the top of the lot) and appears as a single-story structure.
This is a very desirable element, making the building an unobtrusive luxury structure.
