The site slopes towards the north-western boundary of the site. The property is two storeys and has a basement.
The main concept of the design is to play with the massing of the individual floors. While the gross floor areas of the above-ground floors are orthogonal and flush, the overhangs of the horizontal structures create the illusion of two masses rotated in relation to each other.
The architectural and layout design is simple and based on the functional relationships in the layout, the orientation to the cardinal points and the sloping terrain. The entrance floor is at street level and houses the living room with kitchen and dining room, which are connected to the south garden with swimming pool and garden house with sauna.
The structural system is brick combined with monolithic ceilings. We propose a façade cladding of larch planks in combination with the use of white plaster.
Shading is provided on the eastern and western sides by sliding vertical slatted grilles in addition to the roof overhangs, on the southern façade we choose horizontal external blinds.
The use of appropriate and effective shading will positively influence the ecological and economic aspects of the building.
The extensive green roofs used also contribute, helping to retain rainwater, reduce dust and cool the climate in the house. In addition, they have a positive energy effect on the surroundings and give the project an ecological touch.
