The apartment for a young family in Vinohrady, located in a residential building from the second half of the 19th century, underwent a complete renovation. The aim was to remove layers of previous interventions, maximize the generous layout, and respond to the investor’s request for a pleasant living space combining wood, concrete, darker colors, and indoor plants in its design.
The new spatial layout of the entrance area was based on the investor’s request for two full bathrooms with new underfloor heating. The kitchen with a dining area was the only room in the apartment that required new parquet flooring. It features a spacious kitchen unit, 5 meters wide, in a dark gray color combined with wood.
The living room is a combination of colors and materials that flow throughout the entire apartment. The design took into consideration various places for placing indoor plants, which is evident, for example, in the design of the library.
In the bedroom, a walk-in closet was added to the layout. The sleeping area itself is furnished with a custom-made wooden bed. The goal was to design a clean and simple bedroom that promotes peaceful rest for the owners.
